Genevieve Serna Earns Endorsements from UFCW 5 and the Humboldt Del Norte Central Committee for Arcata City Council

ARCATA, Calif. — Genevieve Serna announced today she has earned the endorsement of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 5 (UFCW 5) and the Humboldt Del Norte Central Committee.

"My campaign is built around fighting for power and prosperity for the working people of Arcata," said Serna.

UFCW 5 represents thousands of grocery, retail, and food processing workers across Northern California, while the Humboldt Del Norte Central Committee serves as a key organizing body for Democratic candidates and causes in the region. Both organizations cited Serna's commitment to workers' rights and community-driven leadership as central to their decision to endorse her candidacy.

"I'm honored to have the confidence of these organizations and their members as their choice for Arcata City Council," Serna said.

Serna's campaign will continue to build support ahead of the upcoming election, with a platform focused on:

• Addressing housing affordability to ensure Arcata residents and working families can afford to live in the community they serve

• Enhancing safer street infrastructure for bikes, pedestrians, children, and seniors
